The Columbia River Log Scaling & Grading Bureau is a third-party log scaling organization (TPSO) and has been in business continuously since 1910, providing unbiased log scaling and grading.

The scaling personnel employed by Columbia River Log Scaling & Grading Bureau are certified to scale under Westside, Eastside, U.S.F.S. Cubic, Northwest Cubic Rules, Alberta Metric Cubic, and Cord wood rules. Many are certified for log scale involving U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, the State of Alaska, State of Idaho, State of Oregon, and State of Washington contracts. The log scale data recording program used by Bureau personnel has been tested and approved by the U.S. Forest Service.

In addition to standard scribner log scaling and grading, the Bureau provides a variety of sample scaling, product count, and processing of weight scale is available on request, as well as reading bar-coded log tags using a handheld laser-recording device.
